Foundation of my passion for technology and innovation
I grew up playing Nintendo64, PlayStation and Xbox, and have always had an interest in gaming, computers and reading. I have seen technology advance so much during my life, and have always been interested in the capabilities of it, and have been keen to learn more.
From office all-rounder to sales supervisor in record time
When I finished High School, I got my first job as an Office All-Rounder for a Wholesaler, and within 6 months I had moved into an Internal Sales Role. I have always been a fast learner, and keen for more challenges. Within a few years I had put my hand up to be the next Internal Sales Supervisor and was given the opportunity to help the Internal Sales Team run smoothly.
Expanding into data analytics and project management
I started off as Internal Sales Supervisor for the current company I work for, and within a year moved into the Purchasing Role with some Project Management on the side to better utilise my skills and knowledge. This also allowed me to learn more and develop my skills in data analytics, project management, and learn how to do more with technology.
Implementing business systems and automation solutions
In my current role, I have been able to learn more and implement programs such as PowerBI and Odoo V18. A lot of what I have done in my current role has been self-taught, including experimenting with Excel macros to automate and improve processes, testing PowerPivot Tables and different ways to analyse data, and researching and testing new ways to improve business processes.
Discovering a passion for coding and web development
In 2024, I started doing a coding course through SheCodes to expand my knowledge and help with my current role, and have found a passion for it. I am planning to continue coding and also to expand my skills to back-end development and any other areas that will interest me.
Mastering complex systems through hands-on experience
As a self-taught professional, I've developed expertise in ERP systems, database management, and backend technologies through hands-on experience and continuous learning. This approach has given me a practical understanding of how systems work together and how to troubleshoot complex integration challenges.
Successfully publishing mobile apps to solve real-world problems
Building on my coding foundation, I developed and successfully published EndoCare - a comprehensive health tracking app for iOS. Using React Native, TypeScript, and Expo, I created a complete mobile solution from concept to App Store deployment, demonstrating my ability to deliver end-to-end mobile applications that solve real-world problems.
Creating comprehensive web solutions with seamless data integration
Currently mastering full-stack web development, building applications with PHP backends, React frontends, and MySQL databases. I'm creating seamless API integrations, implementing real-time data synchronization, and developing comprehensive web solutions that bridge frontend user experience with robust backend systems and database management.
