I build the technology layer
of a business.
I’m Rachael Alexander — an independent business technology consultant based in Sydney. I build mobile apps, customise ERP systems, wire up dashboards, and stay around long enough to make sure your team can actually run the thing after I’m gone.
What that looks like in practice.
A typical engagement starts with a conversation about the problem rather than the technology. Most of the time, the right answer isn’t the most exciting one — it’s the one that fits the team you have, the systems they already use, and the budget you can defend.
Sometimes that means a custom mobile app. Sometimes it means seven discrete Odoo modules. Sometimes it means stripping out a tool you’re paying for and replacing it with a script.
I work alone, by design. You talk directly to the person doing the work. There is no account manager. There is no offshore team. There is no surprise invoice for “additional discovery scope” three weeks in.

Four principles I won’t bend on.

Be the only person you talk to
No account managers, no project handovers between vague titles. The person scoping the work is the person building the work.

Leave the system survivable
Documentation, training, and handover that means the engagement ends cleanly — not with a permanent retainer disguised as support.

Honest scoping over wishful thinking
If something looks like a six-month project, I’ll say so before you sign. If I think a tool you’ve already chosen is wrong, I’ll tell you. Politely.

Custom Odoo modules
Delivered a focused suite of custom Odoo modules for a client through RA Consulting Solutions — Python ORM extensions, QWeb reports, and ongoing support.

First iOS app shipped
EndoCare published in the iOS App Store. Full React Native + TypeScript, end-to-end ownership including App Store submission.

Odoo V18 implementation
End-to-end Odoo V18 implementation — discovery, configuration, custom module development, data migration, and multi-department training.

Independent consulting
Launched RA Consulting Solutions alongside my day-job — taking on consulting projects across mobile apps, ERP customisations, and data work.

Worked through the SheCodes coursework path — Introduction to Coding, Web Development, Introduction to AI, and Responsive Web Development. Where the basics clicked.
