My Little Wins
A habit and routine tracker for families — colourful task completion, badge streaks, and a PIN-protected parent dashboard. Live in the iOS App Store.
Inside the app
The brief
Families with young kids run on routines — morning, after-school, bedtime. The intent was to make those routines feel like wins for the kid completing them, not chores being enforced — without selling the family’s attention back to them through ads or in-app purchases.
What I built
A React Native + TypeScript iOS app organised around two surfaces: a kid-facing daily view, and a PIN-protected parent dashboard for configuration.
- Kid surface — colourful task tiles, satisfying completion animations, badge streaks (the 21-day “Habit Formed” milestone is the headline target), and confetti on perfect days. Multiple kid profiles supported.
- Parent dashboard — PIN-gated. Customise tasks, categories, and rewards. Track progress with charts and statistics across profiles.
- Family-scale defaults — ships with sensible morning / after-school / evening routine templates so families don’t start from a blank screen, but everything is editable in seconds.
- Privacy-first by design — no ad SDK, no analytics tracking, no in-app purchase plumbing. Clean app, respects family time.
Outcome
Live in the iOS App Store. The third consumer iOS app I’ve taken from empty repository through to App Review approval and live release.
